Congratulations to the ECS Class of 2017!

The members of the ECS Class of 2017 were accepted to 30 colleges and universities, from which they were awarded a total of over $1,755,000 in scholarships over the next four years. The colleges to which they were accepted and a brief description of each senior's matriculation plans and scholarship awards are listed below.

Babington, Murray - Graduating Summa Cum Laude with Classical Distinction. She will be attending Samford University, where she received freshman acceptance into the School of Nursing, but she also received acceptances from Auburn University, Belhaven University, Belmont University, Berry College, Loyola University (New Orleans), Millsaps College, Mississippi College, Mississippi State University, Queens University, University of Alabama, Sewanee-The University of the South, University of Tennessee, and Wofford College. Murray was awarded a four-year scholarship from Samford of $47,800, which combined with other university and private scholarship offers totaling $686,000.
 
Barganier, Isabel – Graduating Summa Cum Laude. She will be attending Sewanee, The University of the South in the fall, but she was also accepted to Furman University and Auburn University. Including a $80,000 Scholarship to Sewanee, she received university and private scholarships totaling $163,000.
 
Button, Caris- Graduating Summa Cum Laude with Classical Distinction. She will be attending Bob Jones University in the fall. She was awarded $56,280 in scholarships.
 
Chambers, Jack- Graduating Summa Cum Laude with Classical Distinction. He will be attending the University of Alabama in the fall, and was awarded $46,680 in scholarships.
 
Dismukes, Thomas- Graduating Summa Cum Laude. He will be attending LaGrange College in the fall and he received a total of $58,500 in scholarships.

Garrette, Sarah Austin- Graduating Magna Cum Laude. She will be attending Troy University in the fall, and she received $17,000 in scholarships.
 
Jan-Mikael Johnson- Graduating Cum Laude with Classical Distinction. He will be attending Covenant College in the fall, and he was awarded $88,000 in scholarships.
 
Kocher, Elizabeth Anne- Graduating Summa Cum Laude with Classical Distinction. She will be attending Samford University from which she received freshman acceptance into the School of Nursing, but she was also accepted to Auburn University, the University of Alabama, and the University of North Alabama. She was awarded $47,800 in scholarships from Samford.
 
Parker, Francie- Graduating Summa Cum Laude with Classical Distinction and she is a 13-year graduate. She will attend Auburn University in the fall, but she was also accepted to the University of South Alabama, where she received $10,000 in scholarships.
 
Payne, John Clark- Graduating Summa Cum Laude with Classical Distinction and a 13-year graduate. He will be attending Auburn University in the fall and was awarded $16,000 in scholarships.
 
Powe, Erin- Graduating Summa Cum Laude with Classical Distinction. She will attend Auburn University this fall, from which she received $32,000 in scholarships. She was also accepted to Colorado Christian University, Colorado State University, Hillsdale College, Liberty University, and Warren Wilson College, from which she received offers that brought her scholarship total to $297,000.
 
Poznachowski, Wiktor- Graduating Summa Cum Laude. He will attend VIA University College (Denmark) in the fall. 
 
Rhodes, Margaret-Graduating Summa Cum Laude with Classical Distinction and a 13-year graduate. She will be attending Huntingdon College this fall from which she received $54,000 in scholarships.
 
Schroeder, Katherine-Summa Cum Laude with Classical Distinction and a 13-year graduate. She will be attending the University of South Alabama this fall, from which she was awarded $56,000.

Spiers, Brianna- Graduating Summa Cum Laude with Classical Distinction. She will be attending Huntingdon College this fall, from which she received $56,000 in scholarships.
 
Stakely, Emi-Will be attending the University of South Alabama.
 
Stakely, Sarah Cate- Graduating Summa Cum Laude. She will attend the University of Alabama this fall, from which she received $42,000 in Scholarships.
 
Thorington, Winter- Graduating Magna Cum Laude. She will attend Auburn University at Montgomery this fall, from which she received $4,000 in scholarships.
 
Tomkiewicz, Szon-Graduating Cum Laude. He will attend VIA University College (Denmark) in the fall. 
 
Tomkiewicz, Tymoteusz- Graduating Cum Laude. He will attend VIA University College (Denmark) in the fall. 
 
Williamson, Kaylie- Graduating Summa Cum Laude with Classical Distinction. She will attend the University of South Alabama this fall, from which she received $56,000 in scholarships.
 
Woods, Kiera- Will be attending Texas A&M University, San Antonio this fall.
