Allen McDaniel

Allen McDaniel is a pharmacist and graduated from Auburn in 1980. He and his wife Linda, who is also a pharmacist and Auburn grad, have 5 children who all graduated from ECS, and are also all Auburn graduates. Their youngest daughter, Julie, is currently in her third year of pharmacy school at Auburn. Allen has been an elder at Eastwood Presbyterian Church for 30 years, and was a founding board member at ECS. The McDaniel family deeply loves our church and school. Allen loves classical Christian education because he loves the study of history and literature. He especially loves that classical Christian education studies history and literature from a Chrstian perspective and worldview, and regards history as an unfolding of the plans and purposes of God in time by His Providence. The same can be said of the study of math and the sciences. They are taught from a biblical perspective revealing the order and majesty of God Who is the creator and sustainer of His universe. He believes that classical Christian education and ECS in particular teaches our students to think deeply and well, and encourages them to become life-long learners.
