Leigh Bius
Leigh Bius earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising/Graphic Design from Harding University. The majority of her career was in graphic arts and public relations. As a graphic artist with the Florida Center for Interactive Media, she applied her editing, interviewing, and organizing skills along with her art. During her time as PR Director at Faulkner University, she organized and executed large benefit dinners featuring notable speakers, such as President George W. Bush, interacted with various media outlets, and managed all areas of communications, from writing and editing to photography, interviews, and publication. Mrs. Bius now puts these skills to use as the ECS Yearbook Lead.
She also worked as a wedding director and calligrapher with A Friend of the Bride in Tallahassee, FL. Mrs. Bius is a licensed cosmetologist and has been a Sunday School teacher for over 20 years. All of these various interests have in common the idea of making people feel comfortable in our chaotic world by helping them live well. These experiences naturally paved the way for her to develop the Civilized Warriors etiquette program for ECS.
Mrs. Bius is married to Joel and is enjoying classical education through their children Mary Jewel (4th grade) and John Henry (1st grade). Currently a homemaker, she loves throwing parties big (ECS moms events) and small (when their big boys, Jake and Brooks, are home from college), reading, and creating.
