Keila Miller
Señora Keila Miller will be teaching Spanish. She is Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish due to her Dominican American background.
She is from New York City. She received a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and minor in Education from Nyack College-Theological seminary. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, she spent five years in doing Relevant Coursework of SocialWork & Case Management Services through advocating and Providing family support services for families with special needs children and being a translator for Spanish clients. She then moved on to another organization providing case management services for the underprivileged population, ages ranging from young adults to the elderly, suffering from mental illness. Also translated for Spanish clients, in all five boroughs in New York City.
The Lord called her to children’s ministry in Alabama at Adullam House (AIM) and thought she intended to only serve a year, but the lord had other plans and she ended up serving for three years. She met her husband, Dean Miller during that time. Shortly After they were married, they moved to Montgomery and opportunities opened up to teach. She has loved teaching lower grades school for 12 years. She has always enjoyed incorporating some Spanish in her classes.
Keila and Dean Miller have two awesome boys in grammar school, Zion (5) and Judah (8). Keila and husband Dean are enjoying being part of ECS! “We love seeing our children learn through Classical Christian Education at Eastwood as they partner with us as parents to build a foundation with a biblical worldview.”
Keila enjoys spending time with her family and friends, dancing, festivities, traveling, and reading.
